Our series of Make Your Own Books are designed to help children aged 4-6 to form a positive relationship with books at the crucial early literacy stage. These books have either illustrations and no story, for children to write their own books, or a story but no pictures, for children to illustrate their own book. Children not only personalise their own books but they are wholly empowered to become part of the creative process by being the “illustrator” or the “author” of their own book.
These books are available to parents, teachers and carers via The Book Depository. We regularly facilitate workshops in galleries, museums, schools and libraries and design festival events around these books to get children excited about books, literacy and learning.
